groups of individuals

Collectivist cultures raise cowards.

Individualistic cultures raise braver individuals.

There is a thin line between promoting group harmony within a society, and completely wiping out individuality within it.

The first is understandable and to a certain extent, healthy; it is nice to be considerate in the way you think, interact and behave within your context.

The latter however, alters a big deal of your individuality which naturally and inevitably entails more anxiety, guilt and shame; they are a natural reaction to what you do as an individual versus what is expected from you.

Harmonious individuals, create better and stronger groups.

I vote more Individuality, and less social rule.
